When she isn't writing, Barbie works as the director of one of the busiest Robotic Gynecologic Oncology Departments in the world alongside her husband. She also makes wreaths and chocolate-covered candies, and loves decorating for the holidays. Barbie shares her life with her wonderful sons and husband, as well as Pomeranians, Tye and Daisy, Weimaraner Beau, and Kodak, a six-month-old Cane Corso. Cleopatra, an African grey parrot, and a Tortoise, Kai, complete her bustling, vibrant home. Barbie L J Yuen is an experienced nurse of thirty years and a devoted mother and wife. Now based in Miami, Florida, her exciting nursing career has taken her from Kansas to Australia and all across the US. Her life is one of constant learning and exploring her creativity. Her love of God and her family are the twin inspirations for Barbie's children's books. Her dad, Larry Judy, used to make up stories for her and her brothers, giving her a lifelong passion for storytelling. Her three beloved sons, Ashton, Preston, and Tristan, are her heart and soul.
