In this connection, a multitude of these days are being celebrated or commemorated each year.In Cameroon, just like in any other developing country, the existence of these days should be considered as an opportunity to seriously tackle societal problems at the grassroots and other levels. In other words, such days provide a glaring opportunity to go beyond their classic celebratory or commemorative activities (routine activities) in order to handle some excruciating problems inherent in the Cameroonian society. Unfortunately, this opportunity is not seized by the stakeholders concerned.
