This exciting, yet emotionally charged Western follows the life of Abel Spence, a young man who sets out from his farm in Southern Colorado to search for the person involved in the death of his younger sister. The trail leads him into a volatile range war between two cattle ranchers in the rugged, mountainous country around Taos, New Mexico. Abel's life also becomes entangled with two young ladies, one the daughter of one of the ranchers, and the other, a woman being pursued by an angry and vicious saloon boss demanding the return of his "property." This action-packed tale provides both adventure and romance. It also includes some surprising humor that pops up at awkward times, making the story resemble real-life situations. (About the Author) Marvin Wallace has retired after twenty-plus years in law enforcement in Oregon. During that time, he took creative writing classes as electives in addition to his core classes, ultimately earning a master's degree in public administration from Portland State University. His writing classes spurred him on to writing poetry, both spiritual and secular, as well as novels of the Old West. Now retired and making his home in Alabama, he is able to devote more time to writing, which is his passion. The Trail to Taos is his second book; the first was Incident at Cat Canyon.
