This book focuses on Butaleja district, one of the districts in the eastern region of Uganda that involve rice farming with five irrigation schemes in the district. Although Butaleja has been gifted with these fertile wetlands, most of the farmers that are directly in rice farming still live in high poverty levels as a result of not getting any reasonable profits from their rice after being milled and sold. This study was undertaken with the overall objective of assessing the adoption of an innovative rice milling technology to improve community welfare in the Butaleja district in eastern Uganda. Data for this study were collected in September 2021, through a survey of 70 rice farmers, rice mill operators, and owners of the available rice mills in this district by Munyona Sulah, who has been a research project student of Kyambogo University in the facility of engineering. in Kampala, Uganda. The book provides all the details.
