Autorenporträt
Born to a drug smuggler and a witch, Mike Acker's parents experienced a radical change when they decided to become Christians by putting their trust in Jesus. As a kid, the Ackers obeyed Jesus' command to love and serve people. They served the elderly in nursing homes, the homeless in Seattle soup kitchens, and people affected by AIDS in the 1980s. This compulsion to serve people in the name of Jesus caused the Ackers to move to Mexico in 1990. Mike Acker joined his family in taking care of the kids, feeding the hungry, building homes, and teaching people about the love of God. After a year of intense wrestling with God, Mike embraced the path to becoming a Pastor. Internships, training, and university led to becoming a pastor to kids in 2000 while in college and then an associate pastor at the age of twenty-two. After nearly two decades of vocational ministry, Mike and Taylor decided to take a break from working in the church. Since then, he has embraced consultative sales, keynote speaking, coaching, authoring, and being available to watch the Seahawks on Sundays. Mike continues to serve the poor and disenfranchised by giving and leading through an international non-profit, GO ON THE MISSION (https://www.goonthemission.com).
