The Tune Will Come to You at Last is a collection of short stories written by songwriter and founder of Sylvan Songs Records, Thomas Siering. "A Memoir of Sorts," this endearing yet lighthearted work takes the reader through a series of poignant episodes from Siering's life. Siering is also the author of the poetry collection, The Eisenhower Tree, and the children's book, It's Only Going to Last for Awhile. As reviewed by writer & director Patrick Coyle: Q: What do Baron Von Raschke, Jack Nicklaus, and Amy Winehouse have in common? A: Their lives all intersected at some point with Thomas Siering, as did myriad other fascinating characters--famous and not-so-famous--in strange and wonderful places around the world. Siering recounts these meetings in his new book, The Tune Will Come to You at Last, as if he's sitting across a table in a Main Street diner sipping a hot chocolate. A few observations might call for something stronger to sip. As Johnny Cash would say "Tom's been everywhere, man." Subtitled, A Memoir of Sorts, this is as amiable a collection of keenly observed remembrances as you're likely to encounter. Siering starts at the beginning, a small town in Iowa, and gently takes the reader with him on his personal and wildly successful professional journey through life: Memphis and the deep south, the Twin Cities and lake country Minnesota, the south of France, New York, Russia, London, Paris, Tokyo, and beyond. Try not to laugh as Siering describes the meltdown of one Donald J. Trump's coiffure at a rainy outdoor concert in Central Park. Life, love, literature, entertainment, sports, fine dining (barbeque included), and raw, street-level observations: it's all here in delicious, bite-sized nuggets. Good luck putting this book down once you begin. It's wise and wonderful. It leaves you wanting more. Patrick Coyle, writer/director Detective Fiction Into Temptation The Public Domain
