Imagine living in a world where everything is a shade of one color. Then, one day, quite by happenstance, you discover a door to a magical world where everything is a new color-something foreign and magical to your eyes. Your reaction catches the attention of a boy your age, and you become quick friends on a mission. Join Ingrid and Oliver, a mismatched pair full of curiosity, as they risk their freedom to discover the unfathomable concept of color. Is there any truth to the colors in Oliver's confetti dreams? Autorenporträt
S.E. Hilscher was born and raised in Iowa, a state in the middle of the United States of America. As a child, S.E. was quiet and shy, a definite introvert. S.E. loved to daydream on walks to and from school, gather evidence to solve made-up mysteries, and document life in lists and journals. S.E. Hilscher still loves to dream-dreams of peace and harmony. She wrote this book to share the creative freedom we are so lucky to have in the USA. She found humble confidence and a voice while writing this book. As a former elementary teacher, she hopes her book sparks many meaningful conversations in the classroom and at home.
