Shannon Drake, a commercial photographer for Seaton Publishing, never thought her first out-of-town assignment to New York would include murder-a murder she is a sole witness to. But with the lack of evidence and a vague description of the gunman, New York's finest don't have much to go on, forcing her to take matters into her own hands. Though unbeknownst to her, the death of this stranger, was just the beginning of her troubles for there were other deadly players involved besides her phantom killer. When it's discovered she has inadvertently taken a picture of him, her path crosses with Agent Cody Slater, who believes the recent case he's on is tied to hers. Assigned to protect her, Cody must struggle with the growing attraction brewing between them, as he thwarts the threats against her.
