Autorenporträt
Dr. Alexander Kern, a German VC fund manager based in the Principality of Monaco. He holds a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance & Innovation Management Science from Aix-Marseille University. After spending a year at Harvard University, and the National Bureau of Economic Research in the United States, he successfully moved to the corporate side. Throughout his career, he has been involved in different businesses in high-performance environments such as consulting, finance, international politics, and digital start-ups. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse a German Bank and ran for state parliament in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. Currently, he is the Managing Partner at AKX Capital and the Euro-Institute, advisory firms setting up international VC and PE funds. Further, he is a Professor for Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital at EDHEC in Nice, France, and the International University of Monaco.
