God is The Unknown Known. He will forever be truly known, but forever fully unknown. Our Heavenly Father extends beyond all that is and gives life to all that exists. God is The Unknown Known. He will forever be truly known, but forever fully unknown. Our Heavenly Father extends beyond all that is and gives life to all that exists. In God resides all, and through Him is all. There is nothing that can ascend beyond the Unassailable. There is nothing that can think deeper than Thee Omniscient. There is nothing that can overthrow Thee Immortal. No one can escape Thee Omnipresent. For God is Thee Transcendent One Who came down to us. We cannot climb to where God is. God must descend from His Infinitude for us to know Him. For us to understand God, He had to come to us.Naturally, we cannot comprehend God. We cannot know His ways without His Light. Only through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, may we enter deeper Truths of Scripture and our walk of faith. We are about to embark on the journey into The Unknown Known. Here, we will travel the path of God's simplicity and enter into His infinity. Whatever understanding will be met will be both known and unknown. Just as we know that God is Holy, we do not know the full extent of that word. Yes, we can relate it to what Scripture has revealed and understand it in human terms, but there is a mystery of what holiness is, for we know that God dwells in the heaven of heavens (1 Kings 8:27). We know that He dwells in unapproachable light (1 Timothy 6:16). Though we know these truths and may conceive of what they mean, we do not know entirely what is meant because we have never been to such places. Therefore, this is what shall be learned in the proceeding chapters. We will see that God is Simple in Form, Complex in Being, and Infinite in Attributes. We shall follow this path as we press into our understanding and knowledge of The Unknown Known. Simplicity is easy to understand without fully understanding. Complexity comprises different parts (or, in our study, different Persons). Infinity is a basis by which something extends forever beyond our grasp. Each of these, in relation to God, expands the mind and should move us to worship. What greater study is there than the study of God? What greater wisdom can be possessed than the knowledge of The Holy One? There is no greater pursuit. Only in this genuine striving will God enlighten us into the deeper Divine Truths of Who He is. We will find how little we know of Him as we grow in knowing more of Him. What a great Truth it is that we will forever be reaching, but never obtaining in full, the Glory and Majesty of God. How exciting that He makes Himself understandable to those who desire to understand. He makes His power known to all (Romans 1:20), despite man's turning from Him. As we look further into What God is, Who God is, and what He can do, may we not tire or grow weary. Though our pursuits may be difficult at first, the Holy Spirit shall help make sense of what has been said, for it is The Unknown Known alone Who is both Simple and Infinite.
