Autorenporträt
Rachel Basinger taught history and other humanities classes to ninth and 12th graders at a small private school in Williamsburg, Virginia for the past four years and started her fi fth year of teaching at another small private school in Jacksonville, North Carolina, again teaching history and other humanities classes to middle schoolers and high schoolers. She received a bachelor's degree in history and Spanish from Hillsdale College in 2014. Many of the elective classes she took focused on modern history, and she wrote two undergraduate theses on Spanish anarchism and national identity in Spain and France. A history buff, she loves to study 19th- and 20th-century history, especially the World Wars and the Cold War. She has written two other books for Atlantic Publishing Group: "Events Th at Changed the Course of History: Th e Story of the World War I Armistice 100 Years Later" and "People Th at Changed the Course of History: Th e Story of Karl Marx 200 Years After His Birth".
