Swami Paramananda was an Indian spiritual teacher who lived from 1884 to 1940. He was a disciple of the great yogi, Sri Ramakrishna, and was instrumental in bringing the teachings of Vedanta to the West. He founded the Vedanta Centre in Boston and wrote several books on spirituality, including a commentary on the Upanishads.
