Autorenporträt
As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a school teacher, Linda has a great deal of experience working with children and seeing their world. She has taught students in third through sixth grades and helped children to use their imagination and develop their creativity. She observed that many young people were suffering from a lack of self-esteem due to being bullied and/or left out. As they were taught to use their imaginations through the use of their various talents, those who were struggling with a lack of self-confidence or the thought that they did not fit in developed a more positive outlook on life. Linda received an outstanding teacher award from the school district for her efforts. She also taught choir at the junior high level where she worked with classes of approximately one hundred students and once again became aware of conflicts between students, their peers and their parents. She witnessed time and time again the rudeness and lack of understanding suffered by many. She saw situations where children were treated with unkindness and lived in difficult home situations. Having seen the value of using imagination to affect positive change, Linda used the lyrics and music to transport her learners to a place where kindness reigned even if just for a few moments. As a result of her concern and love for children, Linda has written and published children's songs, short stories and poetry designed to bring laughter and joy into their lives. In addition, she has created several piano albums which are currently available on I-tunes, Spotify, and Amazon. On these albums she performed her own arrangements and compositions. Growing up, Linda's parents instilled in her the ability to use her imagination and to develop her talents. She considers this to be the motivating factor in her writing; bringing joy and creativity into her life and into the lives of others.
