The monograph focuses on the significance of reading skill in English language and suggests one of the most crucial strategies of teaching reading. It is an attempt to prove the importance of authentic texts in English courses appropriate for upper-intermediate learners. They equip students with knowledge and language skills, as well as enhancing their reading competence. It is expected that the result of the study can be used as an additional reference for further researches which are particularly dedicated to teaching reading.
