The author was also able to apply what she had learnt in this area to her own practice as a music teacher. Examples of this practice are the basis of the author s thinking throughout this research.

Dr. DeGiovanni is a trained teacher and chartered psychologist and holds a PhD in Education. She is currently a resident academic at the University of Malta where her main area of expertise is Family Policy.
