A comprehensive analysis of water use and non use values in the Baku city of Azerbaijan, with a vision of integrated water management, including potable water, waste water treatment and storm water at the basin level. These problems are addressed in the context of Integrated Urban Water Management approach, which considers water supply a component of a more complex and holistic problem of strategic urban planning, where the city is a catchment area for water of multiple sources and uses, including drinking, washing, waste water disposal, recreational uses of water sources and water ways, recycling, and generally management of the whole water cycle from production to consumption.
