From 2009 Daniel spent ten years working as a food technologist for the globally renowned chef, Jamie Oliver. He has worked tirelessly to help drive improvements to food systems all around the world. Daniel and Jamie both have a firm belief in the benefits of eating a largely plant based diet, both for human health and the health of our planet. Daniel and Gill Nowland run The Southsea Deli. Based in Hampshire, it is a small food shop with an ethical heart and a homely atmosphere, and the setting for this book. They really hope this book will help to celebrate all that is great about fresh vegetables and inspire children to love and cherish healthy food.
