Autorenporträt
The author was born in Portadown in 1960. He is fifth in a family of eight. He was educated at Derrycaw Primary School and then at St Malachy's Catholic School in Portadown. Ran by Christian brothers, the school is now called St John the Baptist College. Brendan left school at sixteen and went to work in the horticulture business, plants, landscaping etc. He was also a postman for a while but always retained his interest in the great outdoors, love of nature and passion of landscape and gardening. That passion and love of Ireland where he still lives today, is reflected in this book of verse and has given rise to him being called The Drumcree Poet.
