With great good humor and a Wagnerian sense of the majesty in an ocean crossing, Juan Corradi makes his sailboat the star of the narrative, and inspires anyone to take to sea in a small sailing vessel, and see the World from the deck of a sailboat. He gives details of her design and build, her string of lucky owners, and the great adventures at sea over 25 years.

Autorenporträt
Juan E. Corradi is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at New York University. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Seamanship Committee at the New York Yacht Club. Juan is a well-loved character in sailing circles, and continues to be a prominent winning sailor and regatta organizer in New England. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he aspired in his younger years to become the ideal Argentine: an Italian who speaks Spanish, dresses like an Englishman, and lives in Paris. Fulfilling most of those youthful dreams, Juan is now an American, lives with his wife Christina Spellman in Newport and Manhattan, where they are well-known for their devotion to classic boats, fast cars, and English Springer Spaniels.
