Autorenporträt
Charles DeFanti taught English at Kean University for 36 years and has served for decades on the board of directors for the New York University Biography Seminar. He is a long-time resident of Greenwich Village, where he breathed the same air as Edward Dahlberg, and has enjoyed many of the same persons and places as the old curmudgeon.DeFanti was a close friend of Edward Dahlberg for the last four years of Dahlberg's life, conducted hundreds of interviews for this book, and has written an Afterword for this edition.
