Bea Oertel is an educator who teaches literature and writing. She is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy novels and has been dabbling in creative writing all her life, writing short stories and poetry. She enjoys hiking and camping, and she volunteers for an organization that helps inner-city Indigenous youth. She lives in a big city on the West Coast of Canada with her faithful dog, Almendra, a border collie mix. The Warehouse is the first book of The New World series.
