Leonard E. Wathen Jr. is a native of St. Mary's County, Maryland, and a local genealogist. He holds a master's degree in theology from Christendom College and serves as the Director of Religious Education at St. Aloysius Church in Leonardtown, Maryland. Leonard and his wife Nicole live in historic Southern Maryland with their four growing children.
