Wavelet analysis is a new numerical concept which allows one to represent a function in terms of a set of basic functions, called wavelets, which are localized in space. Wavelet analysis is a new numerical concept which allows one to represent a function in terms of a set of basic functions, called wavelets, which are localized in space. Wavelets have been introduced relatively recently in the beginning of the 1980s. They attracted considerable interest from the mathematical community and from members of many disciplines in which wavelets had promising applications. In recent years, there has been an increase among scientists and engineers in the application of wavelet technique as well as the numerical solution to solve non-linear problems, and in the numerical solutions of integral and differential equations. The main advantage of the wavelet technique is its ability to transform complex problems into a system of algebraic equations.
