The analysis of El camino de Ida seeks to show how the unveiling of a mystery can be considered a crime novel without having to comply with the canons of this genre. This novel represents Piglia's crime novel, but highlighting a special element: the enigmatic. Likewise, it is intended to show how the novel is also supported by concepts of the detective genre such as: the punishment of the criminal, the violation of borders, uprooting and social denunciation. Finally, it will be shown how in El camino de Ida the fictional-reflexive writer is condensed, how it is possible for the essayistic to have a place in the fictional.
