Autorenporträt
Born of Bamana and Fulani parents in Dakar, Senegal, Adama Kenbougoul Doumbia (Ken for short) grew up in the villages of Senegal and Mali, where he was raised by his elders who taught him extensively about African traditions and mystical practices. He has since traveled the globe as a master drummer and dancer with internationally renowned companies such as Ballet du Senegal and Afrique Noire. Mr. Doumbia has lived in Europe, Asia and North America, where he has had the opportunity to integrate and contrast his knowledge with other cultures and, most importantly, recognize the deep importance of teaching and passing down this sacred African wisdom. With a Ph.D. in Comparative Philosophy and Religion from C.I.I.S., American-born and raised Naomi Doumbia has studied the philosophies and religions of the world and spends most of her time abroad in Africa and Asia writing and conducting research. Through her work, Dr. Doumbia aspires to bring to light the healing and transformative powers of the world's mystical, spiritual traditions.
