Allister Wan was born in Germany in 2007. Although he has been alive for a while now, it's hard for him to feel like he has actually been living life. "The Ways My Heart Makes Me Feel" is the first book he ever wrote, an attempt to find others like himself. The desire to be yourself and the desire to be someone else are two feelings that contradict each other, two feelings that Allister knows well. But one can't change who they are, they can only keep it hidden. "The Way My Heart Makes Me Feel" is a story inspired by the present struggles and emotions of Allister, mostly in regards to being transgender and being a part of a society that still debates human rights.
