Shauna Madsen was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in 1963. She grew up sandwiched between three siblings and surrounded by an eclectic assortment of animals, chaos, dysfunction, and adventure, and this is where her book, The Wealthy Peasant, begins. Shauna takes the reader on a journey through personal and professional challenges, abuse, and heartache to discover the secrets behind wealth and happiness. Shauna has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years, working with business owners as a creative consultant with her signature business program, Encore: CEO, 12 steps and tools to develop a people-centric business. Her business toolbelt is semi-retired in favour of time spent in her studio, writing or painting animals, landscapes and garden murals. According to her grandchildren, she is mom to two miniature dachshunds, Cookie and Cricket and the world's best grandma.
