John Mateer is the author of Anachronism, The Ancient Capital of Images, Barefoot Speech, Elsewhere, Ex-White, Loanwords, Namban, Semar's Cave, and Southern Barbarians. He is a recipient of the Centenary Medal for his contribution to Australian literature.
