The Westminster Chorus Performance Handbook contains a performance method designed to cultivate authentic, truthful performances that are spontaneous and alive. By working with this map to the performance process-and the practical, actionable tools provided-a performer can learn to stop controlling their performance from the mind, choosing instead to enter the heart and to live truthfully in the world of the story. While specifically directed towards ensemble singers performing in the barbershop style, the method detailed herein is applicable to all of the performing arts.
