Stephen Houser was educated at Dartmouth College where he graduated with High Honors and won awards for Drama and English including The Grimes Prize for Poetry. He was selected for the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, and is the author of Jesus of Nazareth, I Am Clara, and The Wickett Sisters in Hell, winner of the Kepler's Bookstore Crime Fiction Prize.
