Miguel Lugo es un cirujano ocular entrenado en la Universidad de Duke, especializado en transplantes de córnea. Ha publicado artículos en los campos científicos de Oftalmología y Patología, y ha diseñado/publicado programas de computadoras en el campo de la Medicina. Nació en Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, donde tuvo su juvenil entrenamiento en dominó. Miguel ha participado en competencias internacionales auspiciadas por la Federación Internacional de Dominó. Ha sido un comentarista de dominó para las cadenas de televisión ESPN, Univision y Papalote Productions. Miguel vive en el pueblo de Maitland, Florida, con su esposa Lynette, sus pájaros, Koi, lagartos, tortugas, sapos, y cualquier otro animal que aparezca por su casa.
