This booklet has been written as a result of the testimony that I had seen the withering of 'WARYAA' from the Somali youth born or brought up in Diaspora. They are completely disconnected from their ancestral root of 'WARYAA'. Many Somalis in Diaspora will find in this booklet many things that contradict their beliefs of 'WARYAA' as being a respect phrase rather than a vulgar term. In reading this booklet, however, many Westernized Somali youth along with their parents will realize the mistake made by abandoning their Somali identity, and hopefully will come back and embrace it. Many of them, however, will blindly abandon it and continue to assimilate into the dominant culture, and seek a false identity.
