Her science background has supported her writing as she focuses on children's books that nurture the nature-child relationship. Her high regard for early education led her to pursue her other passion of teaching. She continues to support early learning through her writing and various school programs that integrate the topics of nature and animals to develop early learning skills. Joanna is always seeking new ways to explore the nature-child connection with her husband, two daughters, and furry friends at home in New York.
