In this first of three volumes, Yendor D. Wolf introduces the world as seen by a martial artist living in the City for the first time. Each haiku zooms in on delightfully, and easily missed, details in the vast metropolis. Wolf provides the reader with a puzzle piece, a fragment of beauty that possesses meaning. Throughout, Wolf sheds light on his hopes, fears, and thoughts as he answers the age old question: "Was this a good idea?" Such light that breaks through These streets, roads, and avenues Let it shine on me

Yendor D. Wolf is not only a haiku writer but the world's strongest martial artist in the World Adult Fighting League (WAFL). Since the age of 4, he studied the Wolf Style (Combat de Lou) under the illustrious Master Jack. From that moment forward, he wrote prodigiously on his experiences.
