Graduated in Nursing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Master's in Nursing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. PhD in Nursing from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). He is currently a lecturer in Nursing at the Universidade Regional do Alto Uruguai e das Missões (URI), Santo Ângelo Campus, RS, Brazil.
