A collection of photographs by acclaimed Japanese photographer, Tadahiko Hayashi. Driven by the energy of a resurgent Japan, Tadahiko Hayashi furiously photographed everything he saw. This prolific way of working earned him a well-deserved reputation as a titan of Showa period photography. While he was a leading documentary photographer, he was also an excellent portrait photographer and his portraits of artists and writers became very popular in Japan. This book celebrates the 100th anniversary of his birth with his greatest 434 works.
