In the water, directly in the center of the rocks, he sees an unusual tube-like device. After retrieving it he chances to look through it and discovers an entire race of small, translucent, human-like creatures. Using the device he is able to enter their empire. A war is about to be launched between the land and sea dwellers. Chad is commissioned to use his superior intellect to help solve this problem they are facing. Though friendless in the real world he is a hero to the little ones inside their universe. But to what lengths is he willing to go to prevent this war from happening? Will there ever come a time when the most unpopular kid in school becomes the most popular, the one to know? Find out in this short story of The World Within.

Autorenporträt
I have been a creative person all my life. I loved drawing and painting, along with playing several musical instruments. I composed several songs. The writing came with the advent of the computer back in the 1980s. I find writing the highest form of creativity. In 1978, I received a Masters Degree in Art Education with secondary teaching certification. I taught for a number of years off and on, teaching at a university for three years. To pay my way through college, I did landscaping. I eventually started my own business and used plants and my art training to create landscapes for both residential and commercial clients that have been ongoing for over 50 years. I attend church and teach a Bible class. Currently, I live in Central Washington, together with my wife, and we have one son and three grandchildren.
