Dr. Kuhoi Zhimomi is the brother of the late General Kaito Sukhai, Commander-in-Chief of the Naga Army of the Federal Government of Nagaland. His father was the late Kuhoto Zhimomi, Head Interpreter of the Kohima Division (1921-1948), B.E.M. (British Empire Medal) and brother of the late Kughato Sukhai, Ato Kilonser (Prime Minister).He has held numerous posts, including, one of the highest posts of Nagaland, 'The State Information Commissioner' the First Registrar of Nagaland University. He was the founding Principal of Zunheboto College. A primary figure in the educational field, he helped ensure the growth of Higher Education in the State of Nagaland. He is married to Khehoni Khulu Zhimomi and they have five children.
