The choice of the topic of youth entrepreneurship can be justified by the fact that Brazil is a country with a young population and also by the increased participation of young people in entrepreneurial activities. The aim of this study was therefore to analyse the barriers and difficulties faced by a young entrepreneur with a deactivated aviary and to propose an action plan to boost his re-entry into the service. The research strategy adopted was a case study, and data was collected using a structured interview. Through a SWOT analysis of the case, it can be seen that although poultry farming is an attractive income option, factors such as age, unpreparedness and lack of knowledge of the business, lack of employees and high employee turnover led to a low financial return that caused the business to close. Therefore, a 5W2H action plan was proposed in order to promote training for the entrepreneur and his employee, so that they can successfully re-enter the poultry business.
