Autorenporträt
Dr. Kai Helge Wirth first encountered the Tal Qadi Stone in a publication describing it as depiction of Moon and stars. The identification of the engraved forms as Moon appeared too superficial and motivated him to closer examination making use of scientific aesthetic procedures. This article is the result of several research trips to Malta. He was also interested in the presence of stars on the disc as, as his father has been for decades, He had a long-standing interest in pre-historic astral cults and archaeological insights from a scientific aesthetic viewpoint.
