It can be quite daunting to pick up a large one-thousand page book about a new topic, for this reason I have tried to retain this book to only a few hundred pages to create a light introduction into this topic. I feel that it is important for people to be educated about the issues within the zoo industry so that they can make ethical decisions about which zoos to support, or in fact whether they should support them at all.
