The architectural deficiencies and equipment inadequacies in Nigerian theatres are hindrances to today's theatre designers as per designing convincingly in tandem with the trends of universal technological advancement. This assertion contradicts what Molinta Enendu did in producing Noah Built the Ark successfully in 1995. This is because as at then there was well-equipped and properly designed Chinua Achebe's Arts Theatre, University of Calabar, Calabar. Thus, he presented a wholesome aesthetic piece for audiences' delectation and didacticism. The reason behind the choice of Noah Built the Ark production is borne out of the fact that it is a masterpiece production worthy of being researched, as well as the need to enlighten upcoming theatre designers to deploy their creative minds in creating something out of nothing (amidst paucity of lighting and sound equipment) coupled with handling light and sound flawlessly, as Alchemist Molinta Enendu did some years ago. However, this research makes appeal to individuals and government at all levels to come to the rescue of Theatre in Nigeria by providing her with requisite lighting and sound equipment as well as decorous theatres.
