Laurie Batzel lives in the Poconos with her husband, their four two-legged children and their two four legged children, Stuart the Corgi and Midge the Marvelous Rescue Pup. Her first book, With My Soul, was published in 2019 and her essays can be found in several editions of Chicken Soup for the Soul, as well as online at McSweeney's Internet Tendencies, Longreads and Harvard University's Tuesday Magazine.
