For over a century, theistic evolutionist models have struggled to find a solution that would provide their survival as the most viable model of reconciliation of scientific evolution and biblical creation. Caught under fierce attacks from both evolutionary science and creation theology, some theistic evolutionist systems have claimed that this vital solution lies in postulating an anthropogenesis containing the idea of the infusion of an immortal soul into an evolved pre-human body. In order to achieve this purpose, Gheorghe Razmerita distinguishes between theistic evolutionist systems that do appeal and those that do not appeal to dual anthropology, paying close attention to the effects of both approaches on key Christian doctrines such hamartiology, Christology, soteriology, and eschatology. Gheorghe Razmerita is Assistant Professor of Theology and Church History at Adventist University of Africa, Nairobi, Kenya. He studied theology at the Adventist Theological Institute, Bucharest, Romania (BA); Andrews University, Michigan (MA); and Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, Silang, Cavite, Philippines (PhD).
