Autorenporträt
Carla Rich Montez was first recognized as a writer when her 1-page theme paper was published in the newsletter of the county superintendent of schools. She was ten. Since then, Carla has involved herself in every kind of writing: from news stories to features; from ad copy to website copy; from script writing to magazine writing. Along the way, she has also composed trail guides, travel guides, and instructional materials, has carried out dozens of freelance projects, and has written or edited hundreds of brochures and publicity pieces. In her 40s, Carla's writing experiences positioned her to be recruited to co-teach life story writing workshops in a growing university-based lifelong learning program for retirees. Eventually, she developed and led its life story writing program which, for the next twenty years, helped hundreds of participants write their own life stories. Today, Carla lives in Central Illinois where she continues to write and teach while enjoying her three amazing children, her loving husband, and her devoted dogs. In her free time, she regularly hikes, kayaks, and practices yoga. Then - Again is Carla's first book.
