Lew Freedman is a Chicago-based sportswriter and an award-winning journalist who has worked for the Chicago Tribune, the Anchorage Daily News , and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He is the author of 28 books, including Cubs Essential and White Sox Essential. He lives in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Billy Pierce is a former MLB pitcher for the Chicago White Sox, a World Series champion, and a seven-time All-Star.
