The present study deals with Theodore Dreiser's Cowperwood Trilogy: A Victim of Urban Greed. As an American novelist, Dreiser has revealed the nerves of the American society. The Cowperwood Trilogy consists of The Financier, The Titan and The Stoic. After completing The Financier, the very first volume of Dreiser's Trilogy of Desire, Dreiser was considered as a master of the American Business novels. Dreiser has portrayed the reality of urban politics in America where money, art, glory and women are predominant. The urban greed turns people into predators of other men. Dreiser as a realist and naturalist has picturized the true American society where survival depends on predatory exploitation.
