Much has been written on the relationship of theology and science. But here, for the first time, is a book which provides a detailed exploration of Scottish theologian Thomas Torrance's work in theology and science, with emphasis on his interaction with philosopher of science Michael Polanyi. It also suggests new ways of understanding the mutual modification of theology and science.

Rezensionen
"Weightman is an excellent intellectual anatomist. He carefully dissects the systems of Michael Polanyi and Thomas Torrance, showing in detail how various ideas arose in each man's development and how they interact with each other. His reading of both men is clear, helpful, and persuasive." (George E. Griener, Theological Studies)
