Many good textbooks cover the theory of plates and shells. However, three important aspects distinguish this book from the rest: First: it includes steps for solving the equations of boundary conditions for ring load. Second: it facilitates and simplifies the procedure for the student as it contains a theoretical part (taking into account only the basic concepts and relationships that form the basic points of the chapter) as well as solved examples. These examples cover the basic ideas that the student must understand. Third: it contains some practical problems that represent actual structures, such as the dome and tank in chapter two.
