This book highlights the most efficient and latest ways to deal with cancer, focusing on IONPs. The book describes some well-designed surface modifications performed through several functional materials over the surface of IONPs, which results in the development of multifunctional IONPs-based delivery nanoplatforms by enhancing solubility, stability, and avoiding side effects on healthy cells. Several types of stimuli-responsive IONPs-based strategies are also discussed. Owing to magnetic, structural, and thermal properties, IONPs themselves can be utilized for magnetic targeting, magnetic…mehr

Owing to magnetic, structural, and thermal properties, IONPs themselves can be utilized for magnetic targeting, magnetic hyperthermia, and phototherapy. Significant advancements are presented in IONPs-based immunotherapy, radiotherapy, and sonodynamic therapy for the efficient treatment of cancer. Finally, the book presents RIONs which serve as the parent platform for the development of powerful DMCAs utilized in SPECT/MRI and PET/MRI applications.

Autorenporträt
Mohammad-Nabil Savari completed his masters of medical nanotechnology at Tehran Medical Branch, IAU, Tehran, Iran. He had a master's semester in pathogenic microbiology at UT and received his bachelor's degree in biology from SBU. His research is currently focused on designing multifunctional nanoplatforms for multimodal treatment of glioblastoma multiforme. And he asks for cooperation from all researchers in this field. Dr. Ali Jabali, a specialist in medical nanotechnology, obtained his doctorate at Shahid Beheshti University, Iran, and completed a post-doctoral course at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Currently, he is a member of the academic staff of Tehran Azad University of Medical Sciences, Iran, and he is teaching and researching in the field of nanotechnology. Designing new and engineered nanoparticles is one of his goals, and applying smart nanoparticles is one of his dreams. He is currently working on various national and international projects, and all researchers are invited to cooperate.
